FIAT 500 Lowering Springs by Corsa Forza Performance - Sport

Ready to upgrade the handling of your FIAT 500?

This listings if for the Corsa Forza Performance FIAT 500 Sport Springs that feature a mild drop, but much improved handling.

The Corsa Forza Performance Lowering Springs were developed as a joint effort between them (Corsa Forza Performance) and their European Partners that produce some of the best performance spring in the world. Rather than compromise and produce one style of springs to suit everyone they decided to design and manufacturer two different types of springs to specially suit the type of handling and look our fellow 500 owners ask for.

The Corsa Forza Performance Edition Performance Springs come in two versions.

The Sport version (this listing) offers the driver a comfortable ride along with a mild drop with significantly improved handling. The Sport Plus version (please check our other listing for Sport Plus) offers a more aggressive drop while retaining most of the ride quality.

This Sport version offers the following drop:

FIAT 500 ABARTH              - approximate drop of .7"
FIAT 500 Turbo                   - approximate drop of .7"
FIAT 500 Sport                    - approximate drop of 1.2"
FIAT 500 Pop (pre '18)        - approximate drop of 1.2"
FIAT 500 Pop ('18-on)         - approximate drop of .7"
FIAT 500 Lounge (pre '18)   - approximate drop of 1.2"
FIAT 500 Lounge ('18-on)   - approximate drop of .7"

They designed the springs to be progressive rate for the best combination of ride and handling.

If you want to sharpen the handling of your 500 without sacrificing ride quality or going for the low look - this is the kit for you!

Vehicles with 30k+ miles may benefit from replacing the factory rubber top mounts at the same time.

What are progressive rate springs?

Progressive rate springs feature individual coils that are spaced differently and have a spring rate that is variable. Under normal driving conditions the first couple of centimeters compress easily, but as you apply more force (as in high speed cornering) the coils come closer. At a certain point, coil at the top 1/4 of progressive springs begin to touch each other and finally become inactive or dead, and that makes the spring stiffer. Apply more forces to a progressive spring then it becomes stiffer because as the number of active coils in a spring decreases, the spring rate increases. So, progressive springs may both be sensitive to very small bumps on the road, while giving the stiffness you need during hard braking and turning.
